A concerned community member heard cries coming from an alley and discovered a gray tabby hiding in a pile of logs. The kitten had wedged herself into the pile and refused to come out.
The finder began leaving food out, hoping to coax the kitten out of hiding. She remained concealed, venturing only far enough to eat.
The kitten cried for her mom for four days, but her mom never returned. The finder turned to her community, seeking assistance to bring the little one to safety.

“Two of our volunteers, Haley and Sarah, saw the post in a neighborhood Facebook group and immediately went to help,” Thrifted Kittens Animal Rescue shared with Love Meow.
“Thankfully, they were able to move the wood and bring the tiny kitten to safety.”

Once freed from her predicament, the kitten’s demeanor changed almost instantly.
She found solace in her rescuers’ arms, leaning into their hands as they gently petted her. After days of living in fear, her cries ceased as she soaked up the affection she had longed for.

“The kitten is understandably terrified after the ordeal. She will never be cold or hungry again.”
They tucked her under their jacket to keep her warm and calm. The kitten melted into their embrace, her fear dissipating. Volunteers soon secured a foster home, giving her a safe space to start anew.

Within days, the kitten, named Friday, came out of her shell and truly thrived. She was delighted to have food available all day, plenty of toys to pounce on and wrestle with, a cat tree to scale, and the company of her human and furry friends.
She quickly filled out, her coat became soft and gleaming, and her energy levels soared.

After being lost outdoors, Friday decided never to be alone again. She clung to her companions, basking in their affection.
Her rescuers may never know how she ended up by herself, but now she spends her days as a cherished indoor cat, surrounded by loving humans and friends.

Friday enjoys playing “tetherball” by the cat post and constantly amuses her people with her goofy antics. She’s fascinated by the clock on the table, watching the hands move as if she’s on a mission.
