Kind Person Takes in Two Kittens, Leading Them to Find the Best Outcome They Could Ever Imagine

A kind person took in two kittens, leading them to find the best outcome they could have ever imagined.

Sara Sharp, founder of Community Cat Club, rescued these two tiny kittens who needed critical care. “These guys got to us emaciated, cold, and sickly,” the rescue shared.

Their feral mother was unable to care for them, and they had already lost two siblings by the time Sara and her team intervened. Despite being so small and malnourished, these two fought hard to live.

“They were half the size they should have been and had to be tube-fed for the first two days,” Sara said.

Through Sara’s dedicated care, the fragile kittens, Kraut and Pierogi, sprang back to life.

Once they got the hang of bottle feeding, they steadily gained weight and strength. In just two weeks, they became plump and active, proudly flaunting their round bellies after each meal.

The kittens were too young to regulate their body temperatures and relied on the incubator to stay warm and comfortable.

At the sight of their foster mom, they would scramble to their feet and lean against the incubator, eagerly waiting for their next feed. After weeks of round-the-clock care and plenty of TLC, they outgrew their incubator and were ready to explore the world beyond.

Kraut and Pierogi continued to thrive as bottle-fed babies, taking their time to wean until they were six weeks old.

“They were still on the smaller side since they were so malnourished during their first two weeks of life, so I didn’t want to rush them into anything.”

Once the kittens had their first taste of wet food, they were delighted and couldn’t get enough.

Despite the odds against them when they first arrived, they never gave up, drawing strength and comfort from each other throughout their journey. “They needed a lot of care, but they luckily pulled through.”

When the kittens were ready for their next chapter, Sara and her team set out to find them a loving home together. That’s when they discovered the perfect family they had hoped for.

“I have a 17-year-old cat, Ace. I told my husband that when it’s his time to go to heaven, I’m going to get a brother and sister cat,” the adopter shared. Days later, she stumbled upon a post from Tori Deal, who had cared for Kraut and Pierogi in the final stretch of their foster journey.

“I told my husband I think it might be meant to be, and even though he was hesitant, he ended up agreeing.”

Just before the holidays, the couple welcomed the feline siblings into their loving home. Though initially anxious about how Ace would react, their worries quickly faded – it turned out to be the best outcome.

“Now, Ace sleeps next to them on the couch and in my bed. I think they brought him even more happiness. They are such sweet little kittens and love each other so much.”

“Kraut and my dog Darla play all the time, and Pierogi is obsessed with food. She always wants to eat. They both get so excited when I come home and run right up to me. They are a perfect match for our family and fit right in.”
