They took in a kitten who needed help and watched as other cats accepted her in the most adorable way.

A kitten named Pebbles came to Alley Cat Rescue, hoping for a chance at a better life. She was in poor shape, with a severely injured leg, and could barely walk.
Weighing just 1.4 pounds, Pebbles struggled to move but was determined to live. While awaiting surgery, volunteers kept her in a quiet, comfy space and spent ample time reassuring her that she was loved.
Despite everything, Pebbles purred the moment she was touched and leaned into her foster carer for head scratches.

Due to limited mobility, volunteers spoon-fed her to help her eat. She gobbled it up, loving every bite. The little fighter was full of spirit and had a hearty appetite.
They brought Pebbles to a vet clinic, where a life-saving surgery was performed. Her damaged leg was removed, giving her the best chance at life.

“The results were nothing short of extraordinaryâjust hours after the surgery, Pebbles was up on three legs, already showing signs of recovery,” Alley Cat Rescue shared.
Free from pain, she became more mobile and enjoyed lounging in her cozy bed, kneading it with her one front paw. As she healed, she adjusted to life as a tripod, regaining strength and moving around with playful energy.

Pebbles recovered beautifully from surgery. Though her people showered her with attention, she longed for a constant friend to play and nap with. They knew just the perfect feline family to introduce her to.
“She has been lonely during the healing process, so we introduced her to a mama cat, Saffron, and her tiny babies for company.”

Saffron gave birth to a litter of kittens in late November. With five hungry mouths to feed, she was grateful for the kind humans who tended to their needs. With round-the-clock “room service,” she could finally focus on caring for her young without worrying about their next meal.
The kittens opened their eyes and grew more active and curious as they began using their legs.

The foster carer placed the sweet tripod with Saffron and her kittens, hoping they would accept her. The mama immediately greeted Pebbles with sniffs and snuggles. She affectionately washed her face, welcoming her into the crew.
Overjoyed, Pebbles followed her new family everywhere, purring constantly and curiously watching their every move.

“Saffron is treating her like her own. And Pebbles is enjoying cuddling with the crew. It’s such a joy to see the love between these beautiful souls.”
Pebbles joins her wobbly crew on mini excursions and cuddles up with them during naps. While the smaller kittens learn to walk, Pebbles happily hops along beside them.

The kittens adore their new big sister and love having her in their cuddle pile. Pebbles melts into their gentle kneading and finds joy in watching them wrestle by her side.
She doesn’t mind the rough-and-tumble, basking in their company.

“Pebbles has fully integrated herself into this litter of cutie pies. She adds her own adorable personality to a pile of unique personalities.”

Being a tripod doesn’t slow her down. She’s thriving with her feline family, who has embraced her with open paws. She may have lost a limb, but she’s gained a new life, a bright future, and many siblings to grow up with.
