Cutest Exotic Pet Vids

Think exotic pets can’t be as cute as dogs or cats? You’d be mistaken. Check out the cutest exotic pet videos I found on YouTube.

Sulcata tortoise befriends puppies

Sulcata tortoises are the giants of the testudines worlds. They’re not the most commonly kept tortoise because their size generally requires them to live outdoors at least part of the time. In this video, a batch of abandoned puppies finds companionship with their gentle giant reptile companion. (If you’d like to check out sulcatas in person, we have a pair at The Tye-Dyed Iguana in Fairview Heights.)

Tiny tortoise enjoys food

At the opposite end of the testudines spectrum, we have a video of a tiny baby tortoise enjoying its first strawberry. Seeing small tortoises contend with food is one of the cutest things on the internet. They put in so much work, but the payoff seems worth it.

Gecko wants noms

Leopard geckos are known to be one of the “smiliest” reptiles. It turns out, they’re just born that way, but it doesn’t stop their permanently smiling faces from looking adorable to humans. And it seems to work in this gecko’s favor as it asks for more treats.

Lizard likes snuggles

Not all lizards are smol like the leopard gecko, but that doesn’t stop this larger lizard from feeling like it deserves all the snuggles. Who says you can’t bond with reptiles?

Feel free to come into the Tye-Dyed Iguana in Fairview Heights and browse our animals to see the range of appearances and behaviors in reptiles and amphibians.
