They gave a cat a safe haven to raise her litter and watched her thrive into the happy, fluffy companion she was meant to be.

An orange tabby cat arrived at Murphy’s Law Animal Rescue with her litter of four, hoping for a chance at a better life.
At the time, she was only about one year old and still a kitten at heart, but she was already devoted to caring for four demanding kittens. “She was not dealt the best hand at the start of her life,” Sarah Kelly, founder of the rescue, shared.
Britt, a foster volunteer, welcomed the family of five into her home and set up a comfortable space for the sweet Mama, Lin.

“Lin loves to be pet. She is a little shy at first but will start purring at the first head rub,” Britt shared. “She doesn’t even stop nursing to eat. She’s a real MVP.”
For the first week, Lin rarely left her kittens, tending to their every whim. She had breakfast, lunch, and dinner in bed and didn’t want to let her little ones out of sight. Fortunately, this would be her last litter.

“After nursing this crew, she’ll be spayed and no longer have to do all this hard work.”
In the weeks that followed, the kittens reached one milestone after another: their eyes opened, their ears unfolded, and their legs strengthened. They ventured beyond the nest to explore, keeping their mom on her toes.

Lin began spending more time cuddling up to her people, seeking affection whenever they were near.
“She has proven not only to be an incredible Mama but also an incredible companion. This sweet and more than deserving mom of four would love nothing more than a family of her own to spend the rest of her nine lives with.”

The kittens flourished into boisterous bundles of energy, romping around and creating all sorts of mischief. Once they were big enough for adoption, one by one, they left for their forever homes.
Lin watched all her kittens graduate from foster care, hoping her dream family would soon find her, too.

As days turned into weeks and weeks into months, Lin’s wait continued, but she never lost hope.
With her mothering duties behind her, she started to focus on herself. “She is sweet and super playful. It’s been amazing to watch her be a kitty instead of a momma and play and romp with our resident kitties.”

“She deserves somewhere with lots of toys, windows, scratchers, and treats. She likes head scratches and greeting you every morning when you wake up. She loves to perch in a window and bird watch.”
Lin is easygoing, enjoys the company of other cats, and even gets along with cat-friendly dogs.

After retiring from motherhood, she has truly come into her own. Once skinny and thought to be medium-haired, she’s now filled out into a gorgeous, fluffy cat with a stunning mane around her neck.
With good food, comfort, and plenty of love, she’s thriving like royalty.

She’s met some foster kittens, guided them, and prepared them for their own happily ever after.
She enjoys sitting by the window, watching the world go by. At night, she surveys the room from her cat tree like a regal queen, doling out affection to anyone passing by. She never misses an opportunity for a cuddle or play.

Lin came to the rescue with her kittens about ten months ago, hoping for a second chance. Now, she’s blossomed into a beautiful cat, boasting a fluffy coat and a long, luxurious tail.
